How to set your custom combination: 1. Use the default combination of 00000 to open the lock. Please make sure all numbers are aligned with the indicators on both sides of the housing. If the numbers on the dials are not properly aligned with the indicators, then the lock will not open 2. Observe that the keyhole is facing up. Turn it clockwise to the right 90 degrees until it clicks into place. The lock is now ready to have a custom combination set. 3. Set the number dials to whatever combination that you would like. Make sure to keep the number dials aligned with the indicator on the left side of the lock housing. Once the number combination is selected turn the keyhole counter clockwise 90 degrees so that the keyhole is once again in the upward position. 4. Reinsert the lock into the lock housing and change the number dials to a random selection to lock the cable.
